Big Mexican Cubensis is a Mexican strain commonly found growing in areas of Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. Archaeologists and various scholars of ancient cultures have concluded that the prevalence of artifacts, such as the Mayan “mushroom stones”, depicting various Psilocybin Cubensis strains, confirms their use in ancient ceremonies and rituals for thousands of years. The return of their profound influence on modern culture began in the late 1950s. It was then that amateur ethnomycologist R. Gordon Wasson and his wife Valentina P. They grow in humus and plant-rich soils in moist climates and environments throughout the tropics and subtropics.
